Antonina Shevchenko

Antonina Shchenko is a Kyrgyzstani Muay Thay fighter. She currently competes in the UFC Flyweight division. Valentina is her younger sister, and also a UFC competitor. Antonina Shevchenko began her career as an Muay Thai boxer. Her debut was in 2003 during the IFMA World Championship Tournament. Shevchenko was the winner at the competition and defeated Suzane Milliner in a unanimous vote. Antonina Shevchenko took home a second medal in 2007 and a bronze medal in 2008, a gold medal in 2011 and won as the IFMA Amateur World Muay Thailand Champion in 2016. It was also the WMC World Championships also held in 2016, and she was crowned the 2016 IFMA Muay Thai World Champion. Antonina was most recently seen battling Isa TIDBLAD Keskikangas in The Phoenix Fighting Championship. She was able to win by a unanimous decision. Antonina Shevchenko made the professional MMA record at the KFK Cup in Kyrgystan against Anara Bayanova. She went 3-0, after winning the second-round TKO. Her next two fights were won at WXF: X-Impact World Championships in 2003. Shevchenko was absent from MMA to focus on kickboxing. She made her comeback in a fight against Anissa Haddaoui in Phoenix FC 3 in 2017. Shevchenko defeated Anissa with a unanimous vote before she fought Valerie Domergue in Phoenix FC 4. She left the promotion in 2018 to join Dana White's Contender Series in 2018. Shevchenko took on Jaimelene Nievera on Dana White Tuesday Night Contender Series 11. Antonina's superior strike skills enabled her to TKO Nievera via knees in the body. Antonina's UFC contract was renewed after this win. Antonina was offered an UFC contract following her victory. Shevchenko won the unanimous decision, but she lost her second fight to Roxanne Modafferi on the split decision. Antonina was able to bounce back from her loss by prevailing Lucie Prudilova at UFC on ESPN Covingtonvs. Lawler by submitting a rear naked choke. It was the top fight of the night in that bout. Shevchenko fell to Katlyn and Andrea Lee in three of her subsequent fights. She won over Ariane Lipski, but also defeated Ariane. Antonina is currently being lost to Casey O'Neill in UFC Fight Night Santos Walker.
